One of the first Indians to head a global corporation as Global MD of Procter & Gamble Inc., Mr. Das is a renowned non-fiction author, a visionary and an acclaimed management thinker. Prior to P&G, he was chairman & MD of Richardson Hindustan Limited from 1981 to 1985, the company where he started as a trainee. He has authored international bestsellers like The Difficulty of Being Good and India Unbound. He is also regular columnist for six Indian newspapers and writes periodic pieces for the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Foreign Affairs and Newsweek. He is featured in three Harvard Business School case studies. He obtained his MBA from Harvard Business School and holds a B.A. in Philosophy with honors from Harvard University. Mr. Das serves on the board of Air India as Govt. of India nominee and is also a member of the high-level committee for restructuring of Indian Railways. He also serves on the boards of Asian Paints, Gillete, Proctor & Gamble, Aditya Birla, Citibank and other MNCs. Mr. Das also served as the Chairman of the Investment Committee at Chrys Capital, a USD 2.5 billion India focused investment fund.
He has over 32 years of experience in the banking sector. At State Bank of India, he was responsible for a loan portfolio of over INR 1750 billion. He also served as Director of SBICAP Securities Ltd, President of SBU Capital Markets Ltd., Director of SBICAPS Ventures Ltd, and as a Director of SBI Commercial land International Bank Limited. Mr. Verma serves on the boards of several companies as Govt. of India nominee. Mr. Verma also led SBI’s maiden venture capital fund SBI Capital Ventures Pvt. Ltd. as Chairman.
A veteran asset allocator into Emerging Markets, he played a key part of the leadership team working on rapidly building-out a multi-boutique global asset management platform. He was previously head of the Asset Management arm of Softbank group in charge of Asia ex-Japan funds. Before that he held executive roles at Tata Group and KPMG and was a strategic investment Advisor to Sumitomo Corp. In addition, his vertical investment interest lies in Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI), Telecom, Media and Technology and Health Care and Life Sciences. He has also served as MD of Religare.
Mr. Anoop Krishna is a banking veteran. He started his career in the year 1982 as a Probationary Officer and retired as Chief General Manager Corporate Banking in 2017. He headed the Corporate Accounts Group for SBI in Delhi. Prior to his superannuation on December 31, 2017, he was heading the Mid Corporate Group of State Bank of India as Chief General Manager for Northern and Eastern India based out of SBI Corporate Centre, Mumbai.
Mr. Agarwal is the former Principal for India investments of Q Investments, a USA-based multi-Billion USD Investment Fund, one of the most successful multi-strategy funds. He has a successful investing track record. He specialises in working with investee companies to help them achieve their strategic vision. He has successful and distinguished investment experience across incubation, public markets, private equity and structured products. He has also led multi-Billion USD fund raise transactions via public and private equity. He has headed strategic and business operations for a range of large and well-established institutions as well as growth stage companies in India and overseas. He is a director on the board of several large companies. Previously he managed the investment banking (Capital Markets) of SBI Capital Markets and held senior responsibilities with Johnson & Johnson Inc. He is a CFA Charter holder, and holds a MBA in Finance and Marketing from Indian School of Business, Hyderabad and a B.S. Economics from St. Xavier ’s College.
